2 Kings 5:3; 8 – “‘If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.’
‘…Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.'”
Naaman was a leper and it seemed as though nothing could be done about his situation. The Bible described him as a mighty man of valour, but a leper (2 Kings 5:1).
However, the testimony of the young girl from the land of Israel concerning the prophet Elisha revealed that divine healing was surely possible. The words of the young girl were, “If only…”, showing that Naaman’s healing was guaranteed once he would meet the prophet Elisha.
Following the prophetic direction given to him by the prophet, Naaman was completely healed of his infirmity (2 Kings 5:14).
There is healing available for anyone reading this today. Elisha said, “… and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.”
Today I say, that one may know that there is a God in heaven!
There are many instances of the demonstration of God’s healing power in the Bible, both in the old and new testaments (Genesis 20:1-18, Numbers 12:1-15, 1 Samuel 1:9-20, 1 Kings 13:4-6, Mark 1:29-34, Mark 1:40-42, Mark 5:1-13, Acts 3:6-10, Acts 19:11-12).
Jesus is a healer and can surely heal you today!
